What are the aims of the NSFA?

In short: Getting student films made and getting student films watched! We act as a link between (film /making) student from all over the country and industry organisations and professionals and hope to inspire and support a growth in both student films and film festivals.

Why should I become a member?

The NSFA gives you a great opportunity to learn about filmmaking, find out about academic projects and network with other students. Our jobs board gives you latest information on work experience opportunities and other student projects and your Universitiy or College. As an NSFA member, you will have a great opportunity for your CV and have your say in running the organisation by becoming a council member.

How much does it cost to be a member of the NSFA?

Being a member does not cost you anything! Membership will re-open this Summer.

I am not a student; can I still become a member of the NSFA?

Yes you can! Anybody can become a NSFA Associate member. Alumni members, who have a student email address and academics with a staff account may join the NSFA.

When and where is Screentest this year?

The Screentest Festival was held at the London South Bank University on April 17th, 2015. The Screentest website is available here.

How can I win a National Student Film Award?

Rules for the new National Student Film Awards are yet to be announced. Currently, only submissions for Screentest are eligible for these awards.
